The
Digital Arts Industry
in Southern California
The
computer generated imagery and animation industry in Southern California
is expanding at an astonishing rate. Spurred by the success of films such
as "Toy Story" and "Star Wars," both advertising and
entertainment are racing to incorporate digital effects into commercials,
television shows, movies, multimedia presentations and CD-ROM games. According
to the Los Angeles Regional Technology Alliance, this industry will expand
20% a year for the next five years.

Digital

of Southern California with state-of-the-art digital media creation services.
Currently, Digital Empire's studio has Windows NT and Power Macintosh
computers using industry-standard software for 3-D modeling and animation,
2-D illustration, and video-based special effects and editing. Its recent
projects include 3-D animations for television commercials and product
marketing, multimedia shows incorporating digital video and sound, and
electronic document creation for major corporate contract proposals.
In 1999,
Digital Empire expanded both the scope and depth of its services to provide
fully-digital post-production support, including video editing, special
